What to check before buying

  • Material and thickness, and suitability for indoor or outdoor use.
  • Print or finish durability against sun and rain, such as UV-resistant inks and weatherproof coatings.
  • For LED signs, the power load, driver quality and ingress protection rating.
  • Legibility: letter height for viewing distance, contrast and reflective material for roadside boards.
  • Structure, anchoring and wind-load safety for large hoardings, and any local permission needed for display.
  • Design approval before production, installation, warranty and a GST invoice.

Frequently asked questions

What letter size do I need?

As a rule of thumb, allow about 25 mm of letter height for every 10 metres of viewing distance, then adjust for font and speed of passing traffic.

Is flex or acrylic better outdoors?

Flex is economical but fades and tears over time, while acrylic and ACP last longer. LED signs add night visibility.

Do I need permission to put up a sign?

Many local bodies require approval for large or roadside signs, so check municipal rules before ordering.
